About ORP-5

The 5th International Conference on Organic and Natural Rice Production Systems.

About the Conference

Growing global concern over the health and environmental impacts of conventional agricultural systems has accelerated the adoption of organic and natural rice production systems worldwide. Rice, as the staple food for a majority of the global population, plays a critical role in food and nutritional security, making sustainable rice production a global priority. To foster international dialogue and innovation in this area, a series of International Symposia on Organic Rice Production Systems has been organized since 2012, with previous conferences held in France (2012), Italy (2015), Brazil (2018), and Japan (2023). Building on this strong legacy, the 5th International Conference on Organic and Natural Rice Production Systems (ORP-5) will be jointly organized by All India Agricultural Students Association (AIASA), University of Agricultural Sciences, Raichur, and IPB University, Indonesia during 21–25 September 2026. ORP-5 is a global platform dedicated to advancing sustainable, climate-resilient, and eco-friendly rice production systems. The conference will showcase innovations and research in organic and natural rice production systems, soil health management, bio-inputs, pest and disease management, water-efficient technologies, and sustainable value chains. ORP-5 will facilitate knowledge exchange through plenary sessions, technical sessions, poster/video presentations, and networking, bringing together scientists, farmers, policymakers, students, and industry stakeholders to strengthen global collaboration for sustainable rice-based agri-food systems.
