The Award Ceremony
The Dr. M.S. Swaminathan Award is presented at the ORP-5 awards ceremony on September 24, 2026. The ceremony is a highlight of the conference week, attended by senior government officials, heads of agricultural research institutions, and hundreds of conference delegates. The awardee delivers the Dr. M.S. Swaminathan Memorial Lecture — a 45-minute address on a topic of their choice — that becomes a permanent part of the ORP conference proceedings.
